Katie was a beloved golden shepherd survived by the Leia, Rebecca, & James Markel, Kellet & William Nesemeier, and her little dog Chloe Markover. She was loved by countless friends who crossed her path in her nine years with us. She was our faithful companion who provided unconditional love through many family illnesses, difficult times, and great times in the forest bumbling, bossing her little dog, and cuddling in the bed. We gave her all our love and the very best of care when she developed Addison's Disease 15 months prior to her death, and we have Dr. Cindy Elston formerly with Queen Anne Animal Clinic to thank for saving her life in that crises and giving Kate those extra 15 months. Dr. Elston, if you read this, I want to reiterate to you how much we valued your care for Katie and how much we miss you. Katie passed away from sudden liver failure that had nothing to do with her Addison's Disease.

Katie enjoyed Thwack Artistry (otherwise known as Ass-Fu, or smaking into other dogs and furniture with her rump) and being a bumble-bear. We wish her well on her journey and pray that a part of her will always remain with us. She will be dearly missed by so many people.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and understand how important and how beloved our golden shepherd was to this family.
